On Sept. 20, 2008 I was rear ended on my way to Southern Star's warehouse to take care of my inventory, my truck is totaled. My first concern at the time was to make sure the equipment got to the warehouse, my second concern was to cover the route I was referred for Sunday (Sept. 21, 2008), my last concern was how would I get back on the road so I can support my family. Monday (Sept. 22, 2008) I put a battery and gas in an 88' Chevy Suburban and drove it out of the field it had been in for a year. I didn't actually have to money to pay for it but through some creative payments (robbing Peter to pay Paul) I have payed it off,and put 4 brand new tires on it. Make no mistake it's not the best looking service truck but it is functional, I intend on finishing the body work and painting it primer gray (as I call it Dish kit gray). I also have a ladder rack to be modified and mounted on it to give it that professional service truck look. 

  Tues. Nov. 18, 2008 I was informed that Southern Star would not be giving me any work as long as I drove my 88' Suburban as a service truck. Apparently it's to old and not the right type of truck for me to work out of for them. I will not deny they did send me an email describing the type and age of vehicle that they claim is acceptable to them, I received it on Nov. 5 or 6, 2008. was given until Nov. 17, 2008 to make the appropriate changes.

  I have decided to cancel my Dish Network services, and use the free essentials I receive through my local cable company as part of the high speed internet service I subscribe to. I am looking at the economy and see people will be trimming their budgets and eliminating bills they can do without, finding dependable alternatives that are cost effective.

  On Feb. 17, 2009 the new standard for television will be digital signal and almost all stations will be discontinuing the analog service that has been around since the beginning of television. It is my opinion that the digital picture quality is far better than analog, and I would like to use my experience and knowledge to assist people in saving them money in understanding the law. There are approximately 10+ channels that can be acquire with the right off-air antenna, they are free to the public, require no contracts or commitments. I would like to service, repair or replace if needed their existing antenna's, install the new digital converters and antennas if required.

  Taking this action/direction will erase the corporations continually ignoring basic common sense, gives me the ability to perform quality work without feeling like a piece of machinery designed to work to their specifications with quantity being the primary focus. It gives me the ability serve my customers on a more personnel level where their needs and wants come first. My business will be first call, first serve no exceptions. I will warranty my material that I supply for 1 year except if it is damaged as a result of customer tampering or acts of nature.
